This procedure is also required for directors who have been disqualified. Every Director who was assigned a DIN on or before the fiscal year's end and whose DIN status is "Approved" must file form DIR-3 KYC by September 30th of the following fiscal year
The system will not allow an applicant to file multiple DIR-3 KYC forms. If a DIN's KYC has previously been filed and that DIN is input again, the system returns an error stating that the form has already been filed.
DIN will be listed as 'Deactivated owing to non-filing of DIR-3 KYC' and will stay in that state until KYC is completed at a cost of Rs 5,000.
Individuals who have a DIN on March 31st must file the form on or before September 30th. Individuals who obtained a DIN after March 31st must file Form DIR-3 KYC by September 30th of the following year.
